Dolphin Exhibition

The new stars of the park are the lovely and smart dolphins. In the only one dolphin arena in Gran Canaria, at Palmitos Park, you will be able to watch these marine mammals in a spectacular surrounding.

Enjoy the dolphin exhibition, where animals display outstanding skills, strength and intelligence. Jumps, agility and coordination, rhythm and a touch of humour await you at Palmitos Park. Also, you will find out interesting facts about their morphology and behaviour as well as their interaction with the trainers.

Aspro’s broad experience in other dolphin arenas in Tenerife (Aqualand Costa Adeje), Mallorca (Marineland) or Belgium (Boudewijn Seapark) shows in this long-awaited event that finally arrives to Gran Canaria. The dolphin arena will be open all year round and it will host two daily exhibitions. These exhibitions will have an educational focus that will allow visitors to know more about dolphins and the threats they are facing.

                The new dolphin arena

The premises have a 3,000 squared metres surface, with three pools and over 4 million litres of water. The arena can seat 1,500 people, who will enjoy a privileged view of the Palmitos gully.

At the inauguration, the park will have five Bottlenose dolphins, but in the future the dolphin arena could host up to nine dolphins. This is the first dolphin arena built by Aspro and shows the knowledge and experience gained over these 20 years:

  • Aqualand Costa Adeje’s (where the dolphins come from) leadership as a reproduction centre.
  • The perfect fit with Palmitos Park’s natural setting. An arena that is respectful with the environment and with Aspro’s values.
  • The excellent combination of entertainment and education that is one of Aspro’s trademarks.

The dolphin arena has been designed with the aim of preserving the park and Aspro’s values. This facility is an enormous challenge in terms of quality and customer service and it will become a true reference for tourist and local population in Gran Canaria. The philosophy of this new attraction can be stated as follows:

  1. Entertainment
  2. Conservation
  3. Investigation
  4. Social impact

Our goal is to entertain, raise awareness about the need to look after our environment, and to convey this message to the Canary community through educational activities with schools while advancing in the investigation of these mammals.
